Latin for “reading.”

Young Kang

Hi, I’m Young Kang (강영운).

I’m a pastor at Hana Church in Tujunga, California, ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). This is where I share my writing: sermons rewritten to be read rather than heard, and other reflections along the way.

I’m finishing a PhD in New Testament at Yonsei University and teach at Galilee School of Theology. My research sits where Paul’s letters, diaspora theology, and digital humanities meet.

I’m a husband and a dad to two boys and a Maltipoo. I root for the LA Dodgers and the KIA Tigers. Lately my free time goes into the church’s yard and garden, and when the real garden is done for the day, into my Animal Crossing island.
